Did you know? You are allowed to transfer your Retirement Savings Account (RSA) once a year without giving any reason according to the National Pension Commission (PenCom).

Here’s how to do it seamlessly

Step 1: Update Your Records with Your Current PFA

If you opened your RSA before July 1, 2019, and have not updated your details, you need to ensure your personal details are updated in the Enhanced Contributor Registration System (ECRS) by your current PFA. Without this, you will not be able to initiate a transfer.

Step 2: Submit Your RSA Transfer Request

Visit our office or contact us with the following details:

• Surname

• RSA PIN

• Email Address

• Phone Number

Our team will verify your request and ensure it meets PenCom’s guidelines, including the 365-day transfer rule.

Step 3: Identity Validation

To confirm your identity, we’ll require:

• Fingerprint Authentication: Matched against the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) database.

• Confirmation Slip: After validation, you’ll receive a slip to sign as proof of RSA transfer submission.

If you have fingerprint issues, update your records with NIMC to avoid delays.

Step 4: Notify Your Employer

Once you receive your confirmation slip, inform your employer of your new PFA to ensure smooth future contributions.

Step 5: Fund Transfer & Completion

After approval, your current PFA will transfer your funds at the end of the transfer quarter, under PenCom’s supervision. You’ll receive a confirmation once the transfer is completed.
